6. COMPETITION CLASS

REQUIREMENTS

SPECIAL NOTE: For the 2010 season, HPV and KPP motors may use any combination of components that are HPV or KPP. After the 2010 season, all components will be subject to current WKA specifications.

6.1 Briggs Sportsman

6.1.1 Age
7 thru 10 years old (7 year old driver must have 12 prior BKC “events” for experience or BOD approval if at a different track)

6.2 Yamaha Sportsman YBX

6.4 KPP (Formally HPV) Sportsman

6.15 Shifters

6.15.1 Age
Junior Ages 13-15, Seniors 15 and older. All Shifter competitors must have at least one year of previous verifiable karting experience, and/or BKC Board approval.

6.15.2 Engines/Weight

  • Junior Stock Moto must follow SKUSA S5 Rules. SKUSA restrictor must be marked with the SKUSA logo and serial number. Air box must be RLV with (2) 23 mm inlet tubes RLV part Number 0300 Black or 0301 Red. Weight 340 (kart and driver)

  • Senior Stock Moto Spec Honda per SKUSA S4 Rules. Any a 3 hole airbox with 29 mm inlet tubes. Weight 395 (kart and driver).

  • Exhaust: RLV R2 # 6800, RLV R2 # 6800/c, RLV R4 # 6830, RCE T-3, Hi-Tech 125

6.15.3 Miscellaneous
CIK Bodywork with full width rear bumper. Qualifying Class, with fast time and track records coming from Qualifying.

6.15.4 Fuel Test
Digitron Meter Test: meter set to –75 using cyclo­hex­ane. Fuel, when tested, must not exceed zero.

6.15.5 Tire Spec
Bridgestone YKC tires.

6.15.6 Other Shifters
Other shifter motors may run at anytime, but will not be scored for championship point’s purposes.

  • Up to 85cc motors

6.16 Expert

6.16.1 Age
Any individual who is at least 8 years old may enter the Expert class. Drivers 8 – 15 years old may race this class only with the Race Committee’s approval.

Note: The intention here is to provide a place to race for any visitors to our track who’s kart or equipment do not fall into any of BKC’s class structures.

6.16.2 Requirements
Kart must pass safety pre-tech.

Kart/driver combination must satisfy the requirements of a nationally recognized kart sanctioning body.

6.16.2.1 Fuel
Open fuel. No Dioxane. Subject to test for such.

6.16.3.1 Class Structure
To follow class structures as outlined by current TaGUSA rules. Refer to www.tagracing.net website for specifics.

6.16.3.2 Fuel
Digitron Meter Test: Meter set to -75 using cyclohexane, fuel when tested must not exceed “0”.

  • Bridgestone YDS Tires only, Except the Kid Karts, Expert, Shifters, KPP Classes, and Briggs Animal Limited Modified.

  • Kid Karts: 4.5 YHC or YKC Tire Only.

  • Expert: any tire meeting IKF or WKA tire qualifications.

  • Shifters: Bridgestone YKC

  • KPP Senior and KPP Junior YKC Tires only

  • KPP Sportsman MG-HZ Red 10x4.5-5 Front and rear

  • Animal Limited Modified YKC

  • Briggs use a Methanol pump around

  • 2-Cycle uses a spec gas; BP premium gasoline available at the BP gas station on highway 67.

  • 2-Cycle spec oil is 6 to 8oz Burris Blend or Burris Castor per gallon or any combination Burris Blend and Burris Castor, 6 to 8oz per gallon.

  • All KPP, Shifter and TaG Senior classes must follow CIK Bodywork with full rear bumpers

  • All the specs listed in the class requirements on this site, are not all the rules. They are the main ones for our class structure.

  • WKA rules apply, unless specified in our 'Class Requirements' on this site and the Badger Kart Club's 'Competition Rules, Regulations and Procedures' Book.
