WOMEN IN MOTORSPORTS STUDY INFORMATION

Cecilia Brantley, a Motorsport enthusiast and member of NSSCC, has been a Fitness Education Teacher since 1991 and co-founded with her husband, an engineer by profession, BodyParts Fitness Ltd., which provides fitness programming for seniors, adults, and kids. Currently, she is a post-graduate student working on her dissertation thesis which entails getting feedback from females and mothers who participate in a male-dominated sport. Badger Kart Club Board of Directors has authorized her focused use of our member database for her academic research.

She will be officially surveying the female population of BKC's members for her thesis "Women -or- Mothers in Motorsports and Coaching Youth Racers", planned for completion late in 2012. Research is being conducted through other organizations as well, so non-member females involved with our events are also encouraged to participate. Research focus is on female motorsport competitors and mothers in motor sport families where their husbands and/or children are competitors.

Your feedback of 'Real-Life' experiences will provide empirical evidence to update scholarly Sport Sociology Literature at the Library of Argosy University-Chicago regarding the growing population of female and youth motorsport participants. We have made available a preliminary opportunity to sign-up now for future contact.
