2019 Competition Class Requirements

7.7 Kid Kart

NOTE: Kid Karts are a non-points exhibition class.

7.7.1 Age

5 thru 8 years old

7.7.2 Kart Specifications

Length: 52-inch maximum.

Width: 42-inch maximum.

Wheelbase: 29 inches to 31 inches

Tires: MG HZ or HZi (Red) with maximum circumference of 33-3/8 inches. Maximum tire pressure of 30 PSI after race.

Minimum weight: 150 lbs.

Only OEM bodywork allowed.

Comer C-50 or C-51: 50cc with fixed jet carb sizes 54 to 58. Gear ratio 10/89. #219 chain.

6.17 Expert

6.17.1 Age

Any individual who is at least 8 years old may enter the Expert class. Drivers 8 – 15 years old may race this class only with the Race Committee’s approval.

Note: The intention here is to provide a place to race for any visitors to our track who’s kart or equipment do not fall into any of BKC’s class structures.

6.17.2 Requirements

Kart must pass safety pre-tech.

Kart/driver combination must satisfy the requirements of a nationally recognized kart sanctioning body.

6.17.2.1 Fuel

Open fuel. No Dioxane. Subject to test for such.


Other Rules That Should You Should Check Out

  • Tire treating is prohibited in all classes.

  • MG HZ or HZi (Red) Tires Only Except TaG Junior/Senior, Briggs Animal and 206 Classes, and Expert.

  • Briggs Animal Junior and Senior; and 206 Cadet, Sportsman, Junior, and Senior: MG VK (Orange) only.

  • TaG Junior and Senior: MG FZ (Yellow) only.

  • Expert: any tire meeting IKF or WKA tire qualifications.

  • Briggs 206 classes use a spec gas; BP regular gasoline available at the Bull Frog Gas Station located at 319 N. Main St., Dousman, WI.

  • 2-Cycle classes use a spec gas; BP premium gasoline available at the Bull Frog Gas Station located at 319 N. Main St., Dousman, WI.

  • 2-Cycle spec oil is 6 to 8oz Redline Racing Oil, Burris Blend, or Burris Castor per gallon or any combination Burris Blend and Burris Castor or Redline and Burris Caston, 6 to 8oz per gallon.

  • All classes require full rear bumpers

  • All the specs listed in the class requirements on this site, are not all the rules. They are the main ones for our class structure.
